My name is Sky and I’m a serial entrepreneur.
I have this constant itch that causes me to jump from project to project. Department to department. Job to job. And it’s not for money. It’s not to start businesses, but to solve problems. To fill gaps. To gain experiences.
I have so many interests that it’s hard to stay focused on one track. I’m in the IT field, as my blog (hopefully) hints at. But there are so many different facets of IT that I love. I studied network engineering and am currently studying Technological Entrepreneurship and Management. However, I want to study marketing. I want to get into business. I want to learn more about programming. I want to write more. I want to learn to design things. I want to analyze business problems. I want to recruit people.
I can go on and on about what I want to do for a career. The trick is prioritizing appropriately and managing time. How do you do that? Not by blogging, that’s for sure. And not by starting from the bottom (I’m making this a Drake reference) and having to climb up with each department/company change. Not to mention, constantly switching jobs looks bad on your resume.
This is where serial-entrepreneurialism comes in (not a real word, I know). How do I fulfill my career cravings? How do I get a taste of the different facets of business that are calling for me to master them?
Start a business. What business? ALL THE BUSINESSES. Work hard, build them up, and sell them when you’ve moved on. Don’t take on more than you can handle.
I’m totally being an enabler.
